Tasawwuf · Roohaniyat · Inner Journey
Books can give you knowledge. But only the path of Tasawwuf can take you from the world of knowledge into the world of reality — from ilm-ul-yaqeen to ayn-ul-yaqeen.
Begin Your JourneyWhy This Path
We live in an age of noise, confusion, and shallow spirituality. Many people try — they read, they pray, they search — yet the inner restlessness does not go away. If any of these speak to you, you are not alone.
There are too many voices, too many sects, too many contradictory opinions online. You don't know whom to trust — and the confusion doesn't seem to end no matter how much you read.
You pray, you fast, you fulfil your obligations — but your heart is not there. The acts feel mechanical. You want depth, presence, and a genuine felt connection to Allah — not just outward compliance.
The world is full of self-proclaimed pirs and shaykhs — naaqis and fraudulent, with no authentic silsila and no real tarbiyat to offer. People waste years in their company without ever experiencing the actual beauty of this path.
Lectures, videos, motivational quotes — yet the inner self remains the same. Nafs is unchanged. Bad habits remain. Theory without tarbiyat is just entertainment. Something deeper is needed.
Islam is not only a set of rules and beliefs — it has a living, experiential, inner dimension. Most Muslims have never been shown this. They have never experienced what strengthens imaan from the inside, not just from the mind. Tasawwuf is precisely that dimension — and it is accessible to every sincere Muslim who sincerely seeks it.
Understanding the Path
Tasawwuf — commonly known as Sufism or Roohaniyat — is the inner dimension of Islam. It is not a separate religion, a sect, or a cultural tradition. It is the science of the heart: purifying the nafs, strengthening the soul's connection to Allah, and developing the highest qualities of character that the Prophet ﷺ himself embodied and taught.
It is not mysticism, performance, or entertainment. True Tasawwuf is grounded entirely in the Quran, the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, and the authentic chain of transmission that has been passed from teacher to student across fourteen centuries without interruption.
Its goal is to take a person from the outward form of Islam into its living reality — until they don't just know about Allah, but know Him. Until belief is not merely intellectual, but lived, felt, and unshakeable.
The Three Stations of Certainty
Knowledge of certainty, witnessed certainty, and then the certainty of lived reality. Books and lectures give you the first. Only the path of Tasawwuf — walked under proper guidance — takes you to the second and third. This is why a person who has truly experienced this path cannot return to confusion. The experience itself becomes the proof that no argument can remove.
The Four Pillars
This is the foundation of the entire path. The nafs — the ego-self — carries diseases that silently destroy a person from within: arrogance, envy, greed, anger, heedlessness, and attachment to the world. Without treating these diseases at the root, no amount of worship produces lasting change. Tazkiyah is the sustained, guided process of identifying these diseases and replacing them with their opposites — humility, gratitude, contentment, patience, and complete reliance on Allah. This is the work that actually transforms a person. Not a lecture. Not a course. A process.
Developing constant, living awareness of Allah's presence in every moment — not as a concept held in the mind, but as a felt reality experienced in the heart. Learning to observe your own intentions, thoughts, and inner states with honesty and clarity.
Structured, authentic dhikr — prescribed in accordance with the Sunnah and the living tradition of the silsila. Dhikr is not merely recitation; it is a practice that, when performed with the right intention, proper method, and guidance, transforms the heart from inside.
The path cannot be walked from books alone. Suhbah — the companionship of those who have walked it before — transmits what cannot be written. A proper guide with an authentic silsila is not a luxury. For real progress, it is a necessity.
Rooted in Authentic Scholarship
The knowledge shared here is not from a single region or school. It draws from the most authentic scholars and masters of Tasawwuf across the entire Muslim world — particularly those of the era before modern sectarian labels emerged. These are scholars accepted by the whole Ummah, regardless of school of thought. Their words carry weight because they lived what they taught.

The Spiritual Lineage
The silsila — the unbroken chain of transmission — is what separates authentic Tasawwuf from imitation. Every practice, every station, and every baraka in this tradition traces back, link by link, to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself. It is through this living chain that real spiritual transmission flows — not from books, not from certificates, but from heart to heart across generations.
Our order carries two of the most recognised silsilas in the Sufi world: the Naqshbandiyya — transmitted through Hazrat Abu Bakr al-Siddiq رضي الله عنه — and the Qadiriyya — transmitted through Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib رضي الله عنه. Both chains unite in the lineage of Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Sani and continue through the Mashaikh of Salik Abad Sharif to our Shaykh — who stands as the 39th link in this chain.
I do not call myself a guide or a shaykh. I am a traveller of this path — someone who was once completely lost in confusion, far from religion, and with no idea that a world like this even existed.
I was not religious from the start. I had serious confusions in aqaid, fiqh, and basic beliefs. My ikhlaq was not good. I had no knowledge of Tasawwuf or roohaniyat. Sectarian voices pulled me in every direction. I could not find clarity anywhere — reading only seemed to add more confusion, not less.
Then I found this path. Slowly, through the sohbat of mashaikh, through proper tarbiyat-e-sulook under authentic teachers, and through reading the scholars of the pre-sectarian era — scholars whom the whole Ummah accepted before the labels of today even existed — the confusion cleared permanently. The heart settled. The inner self began to genuinely change.
Today I am a different person — not because of any claim, but because I have experienced what I am now trying to share. And my goal here is not to be your guide. My goal is to give you enough real knowledge that you can walk this path wisely, without being deceived or wasting years.

An Initiative for the Youth
Under the name of The Revival Project, gatherings are being organised for the youth of Karachi — combining naat khuwani, dhikr, and lectures on Tasawwuf and Islamic spirituality in an environment that is authentic, accessible, and completely free from sectarianism.
The vision is simple: to revive the connection between Muslim youth and the living tradition of their faith — before it is replaced entirely by content, entertainment, and surface-level spiritual experiences that leave no lasting change.
These halqas are open. There is no fee, no condition, and no pressure. Just a sincere space for those who feel there is something more to this religion than what they have been shown so far.
Gathering around the love of the Prophet ﷺ through naat — the door through which many hearts first truly open.
Group circles of dhikr in the authentic Sufi tradition — building collective spiritual presence and lived experience of the heart.
Clear, accessible talks on Tasawwuf, Tazkiyah al-Nafs, and Islamic spirituality — without complexity or sectarian framing.
Intimate gatherings for discussion, honest questions, and sincere reflection — for youth who are genuinely searching.
Our Shaykh
Naqshbandi Qadri Mujaddidi · 39th in the Spiritual Chain
Founder, Idara Ihya-e-Deen-e-Muhammadi (est. 2016)
Allama Sufi Muhammad Raheel Naqshbandi Qadri Azmi is an eminent Islamic scholar and a distinguished spiritual authority in the Naqshbandi Sufi tradition. He is not only a spiritual teacher — he is a fully qualified aalim who has completed Mufti-fil-Hadees, giving him complete grounding in both the outward Islamic sciences and the inward path of Tasawwuf.
He founded Idara Ihya-e-Deen-e-Muhammadi in 2016 — an institution dedicated to the revival of authentic Islamic knowledge and the spiritual cultivation of students of Tasawwuf in accordance with the methodology of the pious predecessors (Salaf al-Saliheen).
He is actively engaged in imparting spiritual instruction and guiding students through the full process of tarbiyat-e-sulook — not a weekend programme or a short course, but a sustained, living mentorship that continues until the student is genuinely transformed.
Paramount emphasis on the Sunnah — he places the way of the Prophet ﷺ above all other considerations. The Sunnah is the measure of everything in this path.
Firm rejection of bid'ah — religious innovations have no place here. What is not from the Sunnah and authentic tradition is not accepted, regardless of how widespread it has become.
Unequivocally opposed to sectarianism — his vision is a united Muslim Ummah. His teaching is for every sincere Muslim, not for a party or a label.
Mufti-fil-Hadees — qualified in both fiqh and hadees, so students can bring their questions in aqaid, fiqh, and sulook to one complete source of guidance.
Life's objective: the propagation of Islam — not a movement, not a brand. The work is entirely in service of the Deen and the revival of the Ummah.

Who This Is For
Frequently Asked Questions
You say you are not a guide — so what exactly is your role?
A traveller who has walked part of this path, made mistakes, found clarity, and wants to share what he has learned so others don't waste years in confusion or with the wrong people. The role here is to equip people with authentic knowledge, help them recognise the real path, and — for those who are ready — connect them to our Shaykh, Allama Sufi Muhammad Raheel Naqshbandi Qadri Azmi, who is the qualified authority in this silsila. The goal is never to create dependence. It is to make people capable of walking this path themselves, wisely.
Is Tasawwuf actually part of Islam — or is it an innovation?
Tasawwuf is the inward dimension of Islam — the science of the heart. It was practised by the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ and transmitted through an unbroken chain for fourteen centuries. The silsila we follow traces directly back to the Prophet ﷺ through Hazrat Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Hazrat Ali رضي الله عنهما. It is grounded entirely in the Quran and Sunnah, with no bid'ah. The confusion about Tasawwuf today comes largely from inauthentic practices and commercialised "sufism" that have nothing to do with the original path.
How do I recognise a genuine shaykh and avoid the fraudulent ones?
This is exactly why this platform exists — and why we focus on giving you both theoretical and practical knowledge rather than just telling you to trust us. The goal is for you to develop your own discernment through study and experience, so you can recognise the real from the false yourself. A genuine shaykh will have an authentic, verified silsila traceable to the Prophet ﷺ; grounding in the outward Islamic sciences; strict adherence to the Sunnah; clear rejection of bid'ah; no financial exploitation; and actual visible change in himself and those around him. When you have the right foundational knowledge, these signs become clear without anyone having to point them out for you. That independent discernment is what we are trying to build.
I have read a lot about Tasawwuf but still feel confused or unchanged. Why?
Because Tasawwuf is not primarily a subject to be read — it is a path to be walked. Ilm-ul-yaqeen (knowledge from books) must eventually become ayn-ul-yaqeen (witnessed certainty through experience). Books are the beginning, not the destination. The actual transformation comes through dhikr, tarbiyat under a proper guide, and the sohbat of people who have already experienced what you are seeking. Many people spend years reading about swimming without ever getting in the water.
I am confused about sectarian issues — deobandi, barelvi, ahle hadees. Where does this path fit?
This path does not carry any of these labels. Our Shaykh explicitly rejects sectarian divisions and works toward a united Muslim Ummah. The scholars we draw from — Mujaddid Alf Sani, Shah Waliullah, Ghous-e-Azam, Imam Ghazali, Shah-e-Naqshband — lived before these modern divisions existed and were accepted by the whole Ummah. If you come here with sectarian questions, they are welcome. But the goal is to take you beyond labels — to the kind of clarity that doesn't depend on choosing a side.
Do I have to take bay'ah? Can I just learn without any formal commitment?
Absolutely. Most of what this platform offers — knowledge, conversations, halqas, reading guidance, introductory dhikr — requires no commitment of any kind. Bay'ah and formal entry into the silsila is a significant step that is never rushed or pressured. Many people benefit greatly from this path without ever taking bay'ah. The door to deeper formal guidance remains open for whenever — or if ever — you feel genuinely and sincerely ready.
Take the First Step
No pressure. No commitment. No judgement. Just an honest conversation — and a door that has always been open.
